Rate Climber: During the term of your certificate, you are permitted to unlock your current fixed dividend rate, add to the principal amount, and lock in at a higher rate once during the initial term. The rate change option will be based on our standard published rate offered for the equivalent term of the Rate Climber currently enrolled in. When you elect to exercise the Rate Climber Option, the new dividend rate will be effective for the remaining term of your certificate. A one-time dividend rate increase will not extend the original maturity date of your certificate. At maturity, the certificate will automatically renew into a standard certificate of equal to or greater term without the Rate Climber option. You may request the rate change option by visiting an Elements branch or calling us directly.
