Promo Helium Savings (Promo Helium) is a Helium Savings account with a promotional 3.25% fixed Annual Percentage Yield (APY) on balances of $2,500.00 and above for the first 12 months from the account opening date. The maximum account balance is limited to $500,000.00. Rates are accurate as of April 1, 2024. The APY is 0.10% on balances up to $2,499.99 and is variable and may change at any time without notice. On the first day of the month following the account opening anniversary month, the Promo Helium Savings account will automatically convert to a non-promotional Helium Savings account, with no maximum account balance and earning the then current APYs which are variable and may change at any time without notice. The non-promotional Helium account is a tiered rate account in which the dividends are calculated on the entire balance in your account based on the rate for the tier corresponding to each day’s daily balance. Current Helium Savings account holders and those with Helium Savings accounts closed less than 90 days are not eligible. An existing Helium Savings account cannot be converted to the Promo Helium. Limit one Promo Helium per person. At least one account holder must be 18 years of age or older. No monthly Maintenance Service Charge. Fees may reduce earnings. Other qualifications may apply. Promotional offer may be changed or discontinued at any time.

Can I convert an existing Helium Savings Account to a Promo Helium Savings Account?

No, this promotional account is available only to members who do not have a Helium Savings Account. It’s for new money not already on deposit at Elements Financial.

What are my funding options for the Promo Helium Savings Account?

There are multiple options for moving money into your account, as follows:

  • During the account application process, if approved, you will have an invitation to fund up to $50,000.
  • For larger dollar deposits, we recommend a wire transfer; use Elements Routing Number 274073834 (no incoming wire fees will apply).
  • Check deposits can be made at any Elements branch or at one of 5,000+ shared branches searchable here.
  • Mobile check deposits can be made up to a daily limit of $15,000.6
  • Transfers from another financial institution can be made via Elements online banking or mobile app – limits apply as shown:
    • New Members $1,000 per transaction / $2,000 per day / $10,000 per month
    • Existing Members (after 30 days of membership) $5,000 per transaction / $10,000 per day / $50,000 per month

No Maintenance Service Charge

The Helium Savings Account has NO monthly Maintenance Service Charge.

Inactivity Fee

For members 25 and older there is a $5 per month Inactivity Fee assessed if your checking and savings accounts have had no activity for at least 12 months; you have no other active deposit, loan, or credit card product with Elements; and deposit balances total $1,000 or less. It is collected from the first checking or savings account that has sufficient funds to satisfy the fee, starting with checking and then moving to savings until the full fee is collected.

When will I see the 3.25% Annual Percentage Yield (APY) appear online within my Promo Helium Savings Account?

The dividend rate of 3.20% will show within your account the next day after your account exceeds the required minimum balance of $2,500.00 to receive the promo rates. The APY of 3.25% will appear on your periodic account statement if the balance in your account has exceeded $2,500.00 every day for the entire month.

Is there a limit on how much I can place into the Promo Helium Savings Account?
